im going to Samana from MArch 22-29 will there still be whales at that time or are they gone already?

Whale Watching Samana

Hi:

Normally the whale watching excursions end around March 15th. Google Kim Beddal and you can check out some info. If you can't do the Whale Watching take to the tour to Los Haites National Park, which also leaves from Samana Dock.

There will be still whales around and you will find a boat to bring you there. Make sure it has a licence to whalewatch (yellow flag at the boat).

WHALES have their own cycle of life..

The cycle of feeding and mating for Humpback whales is fluid, like the ocean.
Many factors contribute to their migration. Mid-March is not definite on their
presence near Samana. Gulf Stream is Important in mother/calf travels.
