hey! ...I'm going to be staying in the playa dorada complex in late May and I need a reliable taxi driver to take me on a one day round trip from playa dorada to Salcedo (about 30 min away from Santiago) to visit some family members. I need a driver with a decent vehicle with AC nothing more than that. Does anyone know of a reliable driver that won't charge me 'an arm and a leg' for this trip? .... I was thinking of renting a vehicle but me being a Dominican-American, I'm aware that even though The DR has made much progress, when it comes to maniacs driving and street conditions DR still has a long waaaay to go.
