Are there any martial arts in the DR?
If there is, what is practised?
I am a very keen karateka, and while visiting I would like to either try the local arts or something at least!

Judo, Various Karate styles, Tae Kwon-do

There are plenty of places to practice, especially in the larger cities...not so much in the beach areas, however.
all in the phone book under Artes Marciales..
