Living and working in the Dominican Republic

I'm hoping to spend about 3 months between Sep-Dec of this year living and working in the Dominican Republic as a part of my gap year. As it's only temporary the work would ideally be bar/restaurant. I'd also be looking for somewhere to live on a budget. Not a hotel/hostel because with 4 months being spent out there I'd prefer a more permanent base. Thank you so much in advance for any helpxx

Great, we all like that!
I am a pilot working in the US but like to go back to my country. So far I just go down there and work as a temp for some domestic airlines -I use my month long vacation for this but it is not enough.

The thing is that the pay will never be the same. If anyone is planning to go back, better be sure you have something to fall on while things get better.

Me? I got my hopes up.
