It was Hurricane Georges ..... in Spanish they call it a cyclone, which some people mistake to be a tornado.

I assure you, cicl?n is a word in Spanish and it is used interchangeably with hurac?n. :)

I didn't write "cyclone", AlterEgo did, but I took it as a reference to the Spanish cognate.

With all the spelling aside..there is a big difference between a Ciclon ( cyclone ) hurricane and a tornado. They are phenomanas that have their own charactaristics. Just in wind direction tornados spin upward and the others rotate around the eye. Maybe the poster should look up the defintions on the internet.
