How long driving Sosua-Nagua-Boca Chica?

HI all,

1. I would like to known How long it would take to drive(gringo safely driving) from Sosua to Nagua and then the highway to Boca Chica.?
2. How is the road and drive from Sosua to Nagua ?
3. How much is the toll for the highway ?

1, around 2 hours Sosua to Nagua and last time i did the road was fine, just a few areas with potholes
2. nagua to Boca Chica around an hour - i think tolls around 400 pesos

Nagua to boca chica

no I think you will need two hours from the town of Nagua to Boca Chica ...at least ..it is quite some distance before you turn right on that lonely toll road , then there are the hilly sections where you must drive more slowly , then you have to stop numerous times to pay the tolls and then you have to pay at the peaje near the airport and take it is easy to you reach the turn off at the Shell Service Station...All in all I would say around 2 hours

Sosua to Nagua/Toll Road = 2hrs (approx)

Toll Road to Airport = 1 hr 10 minutes (approx
Tolls 350 pesos

Airport to Boca chica is not my strength.... somebody else

Allowing 4hrs should be fine.

All roads are quite good

Above is for 55mph driving

Boca Chica is right next to the airport - 5 minutes should do it.

Thanks WWebster & Matilda ,you seem to more or less agree,
Capt. That seems to be a bit high, if I make the trip I will post the price and date, but it would be a good sign if the price went down since it open.

Oh and no problem for Boca Chica I just used it as a Refence point for the "autopista de este" from their I known my way..
IMO their is no safe driving in DR, all I meant is not race down.(gringo safely driving= defensive driving)

The first price was right on the toll. It is about 360 rd one way. No way it is 1100.
