Ok,so I was in the Montero shipping page,and they claim that with let 168,you can bring vehicles older than 5 years as long as you have residency in DR.Anyone familiar with these law???Montero Shipping

We spoke to Montero "vehicle" department about this - car must be under 5 years old, they said the law changed, and they just haven't updated their web page.

Well, if you want an older than 5 yrs vehicle, then yes, you have to buy it there. Buyer beware though. DR is filled with cars that won't pass a Carfax [flooded, totalled, mileage rollback, salvage].
