Hello I will be making my first trip to dr I will be arriving sometime around 7 in the evening so I'll stay the night in santo domingo then go to sosua in the morning. Can anyone suggest a inexpensive hotel i can stay at and the best way to get to sosua I've heard that I can take metro or the caribe buses also the hotel that is close to the bus station thanks for any help

overnight stay in santo domingo
You might want to take Metro instead of Caribe Tours. Does not stop in La Vega, so you get there faster. Leaves you in the center of Sosua instead of Charimicos, and has better equipment. Cost is only a few pesos more. But they do not leave nearly as often as Caribe Tours.

I like Roma II its right off El Conde cheap like 40 to 45 US. Kingsize beds, big room and bathroom AC. Its on Conde and Duarte. Next I would say Mystik. Little more expensive much smaller AC. But centrally located to mens clubs and casinos if thats your plan. Its right up the block from the Intercontental just go due north at the corner of the hotel.

I'll be in SD and am looking into Roma myself... has anyone else stayed here? Is it in a safe area?
Any other decent, inexpensive hotels near Colonial Zone, 30~40 USD?
