Well, to start it off, I am gong to the Campo with a ton of food for a large family that lives there.
I have known them for years and they don't have anything planned because of finances.
Today I am ordering a 40lb whole piggy cooked to perfection as they always are.
And I am cooking up a giant pot of my homemade spaghetti.......
And a big pot of homemade Garlic mashed potatoes..........:D
I asked them if they could make the rice and beans and salad..............
So, let's get a little feedback on what the rest of you have planned, and what foods you are serving.
This way I can get a few more ideas for other foods I can bring with me........
Everyone, have a great d?a de la madre.........

My son, Adam, in England will not be aware that it is Mother's Day here but he always does something when it is in UK.

What you are doing Barry sounds lovely and exactly what should happen - if I was closer to you in Santiago, I think I might ask if I could join you in your celebrations tomorrow and would offer to contribute with a side dish or possibly apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing to accompany the pork roast.

Hope you have a great day and all your efforts are appreciated.

Changing from a 40 to a 30 lb piggy................
The other creations I am making will feed an army.........
Getting the 30 lb for 6000 DOP in the Campo...a decent price.........

You are always welcome to join in............
There are about 10 children that will be there and they were hoping to spend the day in a large blow up pool..........
Family doesn't have the 600 pesos to have the water delivered so I will take care of that also...........
It will be fun for everyone there............
Just came back from Polla and I have a LOT of cooking to do...........
They all love my homemade Italian style spaghetti..........with real Italian sausage........I think it's real.......

I'm on #3, as the Mexican community celebrates May 10!

I'm blessed to have a good son, so I'm lucky to feel like celebrating more often than pulling out my hair.
