he well-known painter Adolfo Faringthon, living in Sos?a, recently opened an exhibition of paintings at the art center at the town hall square of Puerto Plata. The 18 works on display are devoted to 'the sea'. The exposition has therefore been appropriately called 'The Dance of the water'. Adolfo Faringthon is a respected personality in Sos?a and recently has been appointed as director of the now being reconstructed House of Culture (Casa de Arte) of the beach resort. The intention is that around mid-August Casa de Arte in Sos?a will be reopened again. The cultural center, located opposite Sos?a Bay Casino, will be the center of the cultural life in the beach resort.
There will be held exhibitions, musical performances, theater performances and art courses. The exhibition of Adolfo Faringthon in the Puerto Plata can be admired until August 2.
