Once again, I spent a day with a group (Adults+children) at Ocean World and we really enjoyed it.
The pool, the tigers, the birds, the dolphin encounter, the water slide, but the "sea lions show" was
spectacular.
My favorite was the "snorkel reef pool", except I missed the lobsters.
Beautiful place, deserves more than one visit.
They have it all.;);)

has this place changed significantly over the last few years? My daughter-in-law wants to go and I'm not sure it's worth it. I went three years ago with some friends and was very disappointed. The price is about the same as Sea World in Orlando. It takes a whole day to go through Sea World. We were done with Ocean World in about 2 hours. I remember seeing one tiger, one group of small sharks. No sea lion show, no actual dolphin "encounter" the way a Sea World does it. I'm not looking for a mirror image of Sea World but I'd like it to be something close if it is the same price. Lately I've been hearing a lot of positives about it so maybe we hit it on a bad day, low season or something or maybe it has really improved in the past couple of years?

I enjoyed the bird show, the sea-lion show, and the dolphins. The snorkeling is decent for a man-made environment, but the shark-show is a little boring. We've did several trips with school children and they enjoyed the shows and the pool. I don't like that you can't bring in your own water and have to purchase their over priced water, but other than that it is reasonably priced and a good diversion for a half day.

Bob: I agree with you about the over priced water, at least it should have a better price for people who are spending the day in the park facilities.
Half a day diversion? Oh no, we were the first one to come and the last one to leave. We needed more time ha ha ha....
I swam like for 2 1/2 hours in the snorkel reef. I am a snorkeler.
We were into the dolphin encounter, the rain forest bird sanctuary, the triple twister water slide, the dolphins show, the sea lion show, we were swimming in the beach-pool, in the pool next to where the tigers are, the shark encounter, the lunch time.
You n me it...lol..Just a great time.

cjp: ha ha It is not the Sea World in Orlando ...It is the Dominican Ocean World...lol
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, same as enjoyment....
I am full of life, I enjoy as much as I can, trying not to complain much...:)
But, besides the adventure park, the ocean world also offers a famous show, casino, restaurant, disco, marina and so on....
For swimmers and animal lovers the experience to swim with a dolphin is " unique".
