What is billed as "Championship Boxing" is scheduled for August 31 at the Coral Reef (Sosua Bay) Casino.

Starting time is 7:30 pm, tickets are RD$300, RD$500, RD$1000 and VIP US$60

Among those fighting are U.B.F. champion Cindy Serrano, Latin Federation champion Algenis Lopez, and Julio DeJesus.

You can get tickets and information at: 809-571-3449 and 809-571-3418.

If you go to the Platinum Gym in the casino, Pasqual has tickets. I'll see if I can find out other locations where they can be purchased in advance.

You can buy tickets at the Casino; the Platinum gym; Oliver's gift shop, which is the gift shop almost next door to the Jewish Synagogue; and Chelseys place in Sosua, wherever that this.

A reminder that the fights are tomorrow night (Saturday, August 31) at the Sosua casino.

Tickets available at the door.

If nothing else, the fights are very cheap entertainment.

Sosua News On The Fights Tonight

Tonight, there is a boxing gala in the main hall of the 'Coral Reef Casino' in Sos?a. This location was formerly known as 'Sos?a Bay Casino'. The hall is open from half past seven. The entrance ticket costs: 300, 500 or 1000 pesos. There is also a VIP lounge for which a ticket costs 60 dollars.

For the planned seven games are different champions contracted, including the UBF champion Cindy Serrano and champions of the Latin Federation: Algenis Lopez and Julio Dejesus. At the warm-up fights, some local champions will participate. The event will be broadcast live by television companies.

Real Fighters Tonight

If you didn't go to the fights tonight, you missed out on a great evening entertainment.

I was there at the fights,,,,,,,,,,,,,but then a hockey game broke out and I left (must have been those darn Canadians!) :)-)

Cindy got her ass kicked by Diana in the finals few rounds...but the decision still went to her. A great night out and some good boxing. Event was badly promoted though and place was maybe 1/2 full.

I wonder if the small crowd was due to lack of promotion, or poor quality of the fights in December, 2012. I tend to think many people might have assumed the fights last night would be more of the same.

But they certainly weren't.

Next fights are likely to be better attended just from word of mouth from those who were there.Those who attended clearly enjoyed the evening. Lots of crowd noise, lots of applause.
