I see a lot of condos here have a small (120v) electric water heater of 8 (US) gallon - that is 3.7 litre a gallon by the way as oppose to the UK gallon which is 4.5 litre, this confused me to no end for sometime, everything here is in US gallon.
But I wonder if that is enough for showering, say two people for 6 or 7 minutes each ! I don't know what temperatures they get up to and of course it depends on the shower head flow but I wanted to know people's experiences - if anyone has them.
I guess if you just want lukewarm water in this country it shouldn't take much hot water to mix with the cold to achieve that.
By the way this is a nice little calculator that helps to do some theoretical calculation in litres (though I don't think that reflects the practical experience...)
How long does the hot water last when taking a shower?
