Hotel Gran Jimenoa in Jarabacoa

Does anyone have any knowlege in regard to Hotel Gran Jimenoa in Jarabacoa?

Stayed there and can recommend it. No luxuries but the place is relatively new and the rooms are simple but nice. Don't expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised. Just if you will be staying over a weekend that you avoid taking a room near the pool that can be noisy. Be sure to do the river rafting tours that you need to book one day in advance at the Rancho Baiguate, also in Jarabacoa. The Rancho also has rooms.

Stayed there about a month ago, it is modest, rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is helpful. Has restaurant with view of river. As DR1 advises, try to get room away from pool. Recommend upper level guest rooms of building with restaurant for quiet area. It has cable tv. Rate was about US $45 for a double. Note: Access road to Gran Jimenoa from town is filled with twists and turns, just follow the signs. Regards, PJT
