Flight from NY to SDQ crashes in Queens NY....

It is confirmed that the flight from American Airlines crashed near JFK, Rockaway Beach, was indeed going to SDQ. It was an Air Bus flight, No other details known.They still don't know if it was due to mechanical failure or another act of terrorism. So sad. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Eye witness states an engine fell off, plane turned to its side and went down nose first.

I was in WFC when it happened..

I can see the smoke from across the river..

Additionally a cousin of my wifes could be on that plane, but i dont know yet... will post anything more i find out, but the people are pretty nervous but still working here

This unfortunate tradgedy will put a nail in the coffin of tourism for this year. Many Dominicans who rely on tourism to survive will be far worse off.

My wifes cousin was to fly tommorow, not today...

Our sympathies to those who lost loved ones today...

Here in NY ,Queens.Not many details yet! there were 247 aboard plus staff. This is another sad day in NY!
