Cedula renewal

My renewal date is coming up, can anyone tell me how long the process now takes and costs involved without a lawyer. Am I able to just go with my old oneand do the lot in a day or what.

See the last couple of pages of this thread, JDJones gave current info [I talked to the girl in charge. She told me there was no cost, and I needed to bring my passport and a copy, plus my current cedula and my residence card] ::
