Any 38 caliber ammo is legal here. They have no clue what +P or anything else is. If it is 38 ammo use it.

Friend of mine was wondering if pistol that chambers that particular round was available in DR Part two of my question is "are there pistols that chamber .38 “Super,” +P or .38 super auto legal in DR?

The reason I care is he is looking for a weapon that fires something other than the .38 or 9mm and he asked me to inquire of someone that might know

The Super 38 or 38 super is a plus round without the designation. It is in its original form a high pressure round.
I do believe they are legal in the DR. They are popular in places where 45 is not allowed.

Ammo is kind of hard to find although not rare and expensive.
