so the director of BC gets about 23,500 dollars a month. in the world of banking it's petty change. the director of the central bankof switzerland makes nearly 1 million bucks a year. not to mention commercial banking bosses, like COE of jp morgan who hacked up some 20 million bucks last year.

oh please, like they deserve more. education in this country is a joke and those clown are also responsible for it. right now it's morons teaching idiots how to be stupid. most of teachers here don't even qualify for a position of a janitor.

Anyone who spends their day locked up with a room full of kids is deserving in my mind. The teachers are as much victims of the system as the children.

I would say...when it comes to teachers salaries in this case, you are probably getting exactly what you pay for...IMHO

yes .. but the Central Bank is not the world of the private bank.. ie the private sector..

and the DR is not Switerland

the head of the US Federal Reserve is paid less than the head of the Banco Central here..

Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen Makes Less Than 113 Other Staffers At The Fed

and I doubt that she gets the "perks" that the guys here get..

i think it's a fair salary. the boss of BC has education, intelligence and experience. he also faces difficult decisions and great responsibilities. he is not a brainless botella even if the nominations for this position have political character.

I would agree, there are a lot of people in the banking industry that make much more than that in the private sector here in the DR. 250K a year is a VP position in most organizations, I think that you want somebody of at least that caliber running the Central Bank.
