PUERTO PLATA From early yesterday, heavy equipment supplied by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) started repair work on several sections of the tourist Luperon highway that links communities Y?sica Arriba de Puerto Plata with Pedro Garcia y Gurabo in Santiago.
The citizens of the area finally have hopes that something will be done about the road ? as it?s been a known practice that the politicians of the ruling party come to attract votes and throw empty promises, but normally forget about them later.
This information was confirmed in the Instagram account by Senator Santiago; Julio Cesar Valentin, who wrote: ?Excellent! Teams are working on the tourism road demanded by the communities of Pedro Garcia ?.
