Any deportations from the Sosua/Cabarete area?
I am not aware of any immigration enforcement action in Sosua to date. 4 days ago, a new gringo was stopped by Amet for not having a Marbete, but was not asked for his passport.
I suspect when we hear of enforcement actions in POP, they will begin shortly thereafter in Sosua/Cabarete. Just my guess.

I am not aware of any activity as of yet either. There is (or was) a sizable Haitian population in Cabarete and they are much less visible.
I also just started a thread to ask about the potential for a new snowbird visa. That would be for visitors that wish to stay longer than a tourist card, but for whom residency would make no sense. Currently they pay an exit fine based upon length of overstay.
