UFHEC buys former US Consulate site
The Universidad Federico Henriquez y Carvajal (Ufhec) has purchased the former site of the US Consulate at the intersection of Maximo Gomez and Cesar Nicolas Penson avenues in Santo Domingo. The location is near a Metro station, a short distance from the Universidad APEC and walking distance from the UASD state university. UFHEC rector Alberto Ramirez said the plan was to use the site for postgraduate, research and innovation programs. The new location will house the Graduate School and the Vice Rector's Office for Science, Technology and Innovation. The university's main campus is on Av. Isabel Aguiar in Herrera, Santo Domingo West.
