Replacement: new AMET director in Puerto Plata, and new police commander in Sosua
PUERTO PLATA The Chief of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) ordered the replacement of Northern Regional Director based in Puerto Plata, while the highest authority of the National Police appointed a new commander in the province of Sosua.
Reportedly, the new director of the AMET in Puerto Plata is the lawyer Colonel Juan Guzm?n Toribio, who is taking the position instead of Colonel Moses Carlos Mart?nez who has been transferred to another province.
Guzman Toribio is native to this area of Puerto Plata, he is a grandson of the engineer Polibio Diaz Toribio, while Martinez was in charge of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) in this jurisdiction since 30 October last year when he replaced Colonel Nelson Morrillo after the famous incident with former deputy Alfonso Crisostomo (The Beloved) that caused the transfer of all the funds of that institution.
In other news, Colonel Rolando Rosario Guerrero was sworn in as new inspector of the National Police in the tourist town of Sosua, who is replacing Colonel Jose Florentino Santos, who thanked the business community as well as the whole Sosua?s population support he received during his time.
