did you try spice section in la sirena? they sell lots of badia brand spices. may be sold as hinojo.

Yup fennel and garlic mixed with the tomato paste.....BOOM. Genoa salami, bacon and mushrooms.....Bam. Emmenthal cheese on top...........BUDA...BADA....BOOM.

yesterday i made a pizza with sopresata salami, capers, jalapenos, mozzarella and monterrey jack. but yours sounds good. real good.

... then throw it in a blender, freeze dry it, and you have instant trail mix.

Pizza in the DR, in my opinion, ranges from horrible to acceptable. There always seems to be something missing. Perhaps it is fennel. I shall have to get some fennel.

Strange no one has mentioned anchovies, which seem to be a love or hate affair when it comes to pizza.
