sOMEONE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I went to Puerto Plata the first week of January and like many of you, fell in love with the place...although this was not my first time in D.R....I went 4 times during 2001!!!
Now I have a big dilemma...After living in the U.S. for 32 years, (I'm 46) raising 3 children, all college graduates...I find that I need to do something for myself!
I have done extensive research on everything from becoming a citizen, to buying property, and looking for a job.
Unfortunately, I've applied for different jobs through the 'net, but apparently age is a big thing over there, (some jobs require you to be younger than 35!) and I haven't gotten any responses to my applications for work.
I am a Radio and Television announcer here, and also work for an Internet co. doing interviews with artists and writing articles on different subjects.
I am ready and willing to change professions, I can translate, do admistrative work, am completly fluent in Spanish and English, look much younger than my age, am very outgoing, friendly and people generally seem to like me.
I have read almost everyone of the messages on this and other boards regarding my question, but I need someone to give me advice on how else to look for a job, short of just moving and start looking for myself over there, which I am just about ready to do!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
