Just curious. I don't seem to see much open use of it - I have been offered (and declined) - but is it actually illegal - the laws are all over amongst most latin american countries

Drugs are a way for cops to make money if they don't get it from the pushers they'll get it from dumb tourists.

Both are probably true - alright - I also did a little quick checking - my friend will just have to get along with local herb - 6 months in a dominican jail for simple possession is not something I am gona risk
yep, illegal and quite heavily penalized (theoretically). at best, a turista would end up forking out lots of cash to avoid jail time.

You for one, sorry to say, was harsh on the guy/OP ( not that i read anywhere all the stuff, but from the 1st couple of pages of it ).
Drug or no drugs aside, do you still believe a similar story is not possible, here in the dr ? ( with the years of experience since ).
But yes, to*this OP, stay away from drugs in the dr (*especially since they are still dinosaurs and dont diffrenciate diffrent types of drugs *:devious: )
Wow Christo what street do you live on ? I have never seen pot smoked in DR except behind the walls of a villa a few years ago by a tourist who smuggled it in.
I have been offered pot by the young street punks , the Viagra street corner hawkers a couple motocochos and one taxista, which is odd because I'm over 65 and you would think I would not be a typical looking customer.
Of course I've used it extensively in the past (who hasn't), but I am assuming the pot available for sale here (please correct me if I'm wrong), does not compare to the strong 'medicine' available from my past life in California and Oregon. But those days are long past, damn it.
