I have prepaid service with Orange Dominicana but am not currently in the country. I want to keep the number.
There are a few services such as etopuponline.com that can "top up" an account. However, I seem to remember reading somewhere that services like this don't necessarily extend the validity. etopuponline customer service wasn't sure, either.
I've also read that (globally) while some carriers expire numbers based only on recharge date, others actually require periodic use of the service.
On the Orange website it indicates an inactive period of 120 days, but doesn't say anything about what exactly resets this period.
I tried e-mailing servicio.cliente at orange.com.do (in Spanish) but they don't answer.
Does anyone know if top-ups via etopuponline.com will restart the 120 day period, or do I need to actually use the line?
¡Muchas gracias de antemano!
