I have a propane tank that is still in pretty good shape. A leak has developed in the valve (I suspect the packing) and a new valve is called for.

Anyone know of a place that does this type of work? I don't have the required tools to change the valve myself assuming I could get a replacement. I am prepared to accept that it will probably be easier just to buy a new tank for $3500.

Any suggests on what to do with the old tank if I do not get it repaired?

We purchased a valve at Linares and took it to the propane station near Coconut palms and they replaced it. Pick up some special yellow teflon tape as well that is used for LP gas for the threads of the new valve. IT was no big deal at all.
