I would not dignify it with the name of "shop" but there is a casita next to the soccer stadium in Barrio Haiti. The guys does simple repairs like replacing soles and stitching cheaply and well. Whether he can tackle more sophisticated repairs I do not know.
Up across the dry bridge (puente seco) next door to Compra Venta Gerson there is a Haitian shop that sewed my sole back on for 200 pesos, they also did it on the other shoe that wasn't starting to come loose. All for 200 pesos.
