I've been taking Naturemade multi complete vitamins for quite a while, and I'm thinking about switching to one that is available for "subscribe and save" on Amazon.

Naturemade is also an "add-on", so if I don't place an order for something else, I end up running out.

Please refrain from the "why do you even bother" arguments and comments.

Nature's Bounty is a decent brand you can buy here in the DR.
I take a Centrum Cardio, Ubiquinol 100 mg by Webber naturals, and Homocysteine - B6,B12, Folic acid combo by natural factors. I bring all my vitamins from Canada.

I take Omega 365 and B-complex because I don't eat meat. But I'm still sceptical. Multivitamins especially are a huge racket

Vitamins should never be THE source of your needs but an add-on to a healthy and balanced diet.

I did try many MV (Centrum, ON, Orange labs, kirkland etc.) and I do recommend a food based one. I take this one:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007YCC7...55c13b09bf96&ie=UTF8&qid=1517752114&sr=1&th=1

There is a version for women and kids too:

https://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Ligh...&sr=8-3&keywords=food+based+multivitamin&th=1

That is impressive and informative. Thank you. Regarding the BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin, do you take 4 or 12 mg?

My first cycle I took the 1 x the 12 mg version, but switched to the 4 mg version 3 x daily with my meals.

I agree with you on that one Mike.

I'm eating a lot healthier than I was a couple of years ago and get my share of protein and fiber, but I also take a vitamin to help out with anything I may be missing, hence the daily vitamin.

I used to take one-a-day with iron, but after comparing it with other daily vitamins discovered it had less iron than the others so I switched to Naturemade. My only complaint is I can't do the subscribe and save.

If you were able to eat all the foods you should, and they had all the nutrients they are supposed to, supplements wouldn't be necessary, but unfortunately that situation doesn't exist for the majority of people.

I am trying to get as little Iron out of my supplements as possible (because with a healthy diet you should get enough), why? Read on:

https://www.livestrong.com/article/241733-should-men-take-iron-supplements/

I was anemic for years and the doc and I could never figure out why. I've pretty much quit red meat (apart from the occasional splurge) so I need to get it somewhere else, hence the vitamins. I also take an iron supplement once a week.

I must be doing something right - my vitals have been perfect across the board, even through this cancer crap I've been going through.

It struck me a few moments ago I should do a "subscribe and save" search on Amazon, and lo and behold, the first choice was the same Naturemade vitamins I've been taking from another supplier. Done deal!!

After reading studies about people taking vitamins living shorter lives than those who don't take them, I don't take vitamins.

About a year ago I was in a Dunkin Donuts in Miami sitting next to a Lady who looked in her seventies. We started talking and I found out she was 96, and verified by someone working there.

I asked her how she could be in such good shape at this age. She explained that she NEVER took any medication or vitamins unless absolutely necessary, like after some medical treatment.

I'm convinced it genetics. Nothing more, nothing less.

Keith Richards is an excellent example.

The folks that are long distance runners who fall dead at a young age are another.
