Remember where you have chosen to live. Service delivery in general, be it electricity, water, roads and sewers are all hit & miss from day to day month to month. Some haven't had running water in months and I am sure a few have never had water delivery despite the tap in the kitchen and the pipe in the ground.
Usually these services run at a level that at least meets basic needs but sometimes they do not. For any essential service you must always have a plan B ready to put into action. Take these occasional disruptions (however caused) and consider how dramatic the loss of services will be after a major earthquake or Hurricane. In such a situation, the upset will be catastrophic and those with a choice would probably not continue living here under those conditions for such a long period of time if repatriation is an option.
Thankfully, service interruptions are usually short lived. In every instance someone is always first to have their service restored and that means that there is always someone who is last. It sucks to be last but one must always be able to meet your basic needs on your own in developing countries because neither the Govt nor the utilities themselves are capable of maintaining a service level enjoyed in more developed countries.
Clearly the water people know of the issue, but are unable to correct it thus far and probably don't actually know when the correction/repair will be completed.
Time for a vacation so you can take a shower, it's beginning to get hot outside again.
Good luck, hopefully water anytime now...
