Hi, I am going to DR in the first week of July, I need somewhere relatively cheap to stay at in Sosua or not too far from Sosua. Has anyone got any ideas? I have stayed at One Ocean Place Aparthotel before, but it's a bit too expensive. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

I have stayed in Sosua by the Sea a few times and had no problems. It is not super cheap (and you can definetly find some super cheap places there) but the food is really good and it has a nice beach and pool and is centrally located. I think it is like 50 bucks a night for a double room, maybe less if you stay longer.

I don't stay anyplace other than Eddy's condos...excellent value, superb hosts, and the condos even have a kitchen where you can cook.

Sandra the hotel Perla Hills looks nice but has no prices. How much does it cost do you know?

A small hotel with an excellent reputation is Hotel Tropix. It's inexpensive, close to everything, has beautiful gardens, friendly staff . Sylvie Paoernik the owner was born in Sosua, speaks four languages and knows the area like the back of her hand.

Here is another thought. Check the resort reviews here on DR1 You will find several hotels which may be of interest.

Thanks guys for all your help! I am checking out the places you told me about and have E-mailed Eddy. Does anyone know the website/e-mail address for Hotel Europa or Hotel Atlantic?
