I'm looking to book my next trip to RD just after Christmas - my 5th trip in less than 2 years but the first one at this time of the year. Is ringing in the New Year a big deal? Like my previous trips, I plan on staying on the south coast, between Juan Dolio. Consuelo, San Pedro etc. Any comments, ideas, etc?
Also, does anyone have any idea whether travel between RD and other islands is possible (ie. cheap!). I'm not talking Puerto Rico but Kingston, Jamaica.
