Unless you use UPS or FedEx it won't get there. This century anyway.

How to send VHS tape

Use the USPS Priority Mail. Or the International Express service that the Post Office provides.

Of course this works pretty good in the major cities for people that are locatable.

ive had plenty of parcels sent from uk recieved all of them takes about 3 weeks and you collect yourself in santo domingo anyway. you can use any video tape as long as you get multi region format equipment costs same as normal in general and gives you more scope

it will work

but like Rick said use UPS or Fedex if you want to be sure it gets there. I have been sending a lot of stuff to the DR but only when I used UPS/Fedex it arrived quickly and in one piece.
The times I used other means it either never arrived, arrived months later, and most of the times damaged.
