JFK/SDQ

Well how much i dont now but if you are talking about 1 day is peace of cake but about 1 year + repair mantainece.

If it is HI-registred its cheaper in DR but if you talking about foreign registration in DR it cost MUCHO MAS!

TransMeridian registry is N..... its cheaper in JFK well also for schedule Aeromar and American have also morning flights on this route and no afternoon flights departing on 14:00 thats another reason. ;) from SDQ

Aeromar, in order to maintain its 121 Certificate was forced by the DGAC to buy an aircraft and certify it under HI RADs. Now, all of the sudden the rules have changed and Lan Dominicana gets the certificate without having one simple aircraft. This is why the DR will never come out of CAT II.

I welcome Lan Dominicana. What I question is the process that was carried by the DGAC that one more time shows no interests in getting out of CAT II.

On another note:

Basing the aircraft in JFK is by far more expensive than SDQ. Unless the crew members are natives of NYC and EX does not have to incure in hotel expenses.

1- SDQ hotels are cheaper than JFK.
2- Overnight parking is cheaper in SDQ.
3- In the winter de-icing is extremely expensive

The N or HI does not mean a DAMM. They all pay the same dues.

also i guess Transmeridian may have a crontract in JFK with a Mtc company and ground handler Company or maybe they have their own mechanics and Ground staff alreay in JFK.

Maybe they have a special summer's deal with NYCPorth Authoritys......lol
