We have booked to come to DR for the first time in October 2003.
Have been lurking on the site for some time, impressed by the width of knowledge!
Since booking two weeks at the Estrella del Mar in Cabarete, sorry, we Brits can only afford AI, we have received two letters from our travel company advising that facilities and activities have been either curtailed or relocated.
Has anyone viewing DR1 recently returned from this hotel as we know that it has recently changed management/ownership?
We are worried that this may just be the tip of the iceberg and that we may not get the standard of holiday that we are expecting.
We are so looking forward to our first visit to the island and maybe even meeting some of you guys who's comments we read
avidly every day.
Any information would be very much appreciated.
