Later this month, the 26th, I have three 'old' friends coming in to country. Two of them are former neighbors from back in grammar school days. Two of them are college mates. All are over 60 or 63, and in good health. Two of them have never been in the DR before.
My problem: What to do with them?
My thinking:
1) A day or two in Santiago area with trip to Jarabacoa for golf, and maybe the Salto de Jimenoa
2) A day + night + day at Punta Ruc?a-lots of good single malt, fried fish, probably with a trip to see DD.
3) A day or two on the North Shore. More single malt and golf.
Or am I being too conservative?
There are limiting factors: RRA is widowed less than a year and has always been uptight-he's a lawyer. Still wears Brooks Brother suits (and has for 55 years) and chairs museum committees. He's been all over the world for his Fortune 500 corporation.
DPR is hell on wheels. He and I have done some crazy stuff. He has been here and so has his daughter. Married to the same person forever. Grandaddy to two little girls.
BC is a rotund computer genius who retired at 53. A member of our Zeta Omega Omega house at university, this guy went into computers in the early 60s!!! You can guess the rest...also a hell raiser-at least back then. Divorced.
Any and all ideas are welcome, seriously.
