I'm not sure I understand about the waver (purpose of), but thanks for the post. I admit to being ignorant about the business end of MLB baseball. I prefer to watch the "business end" of the bat being used by my favorite sluggers!

Well, we know Ramirez won't be invited to play for the Marlins.
They'd surely love to have him but with last year's Marlin budget supposedly being around 48 Mil, he is not affordable given what his contract is worth. Ah, if we in S. Florida could only have him and Sammy - what a show that would be!

Since you want to talk baseball why not educate me about the DR team this year that's heading for the Caribbean Series? ...

... That is, if you're Dominican, live in DR, or follow pelota there. I know very little about who is who on this board and don't have the time to study posts to figure it out.
