Is there a city gov't agency/dept that has public information on who is on title/deed to a property. I am looking specifically in Santo Domingo. Any assistance is appreciated.
Every major province in the country has a "Registro de T?tulos" (Registry of Titles), generally close to the Tribunal de Tierras (Land Court), where all property sales must be recorded by law and also where you can investigate the history of any particular lot. I believe the phone number for the Registro de T?tulos in Santo Domingo is 533-1258. (Don't expect to get any information over the phone. Call to find out how to get there).
