Currently, if you have a big satellite dish and live in the US (probably Canada too) you can watch LIVE TV from Santo Domingo.
I'ts local channel 33 in Santo Domingo called Super Canal Caribe, and it's being uplinked to satellite AMC 3 at 87 degrees.
The old analog satellite receivers won't work, you will need what is called an FTA receiver.
They normally cost between $90-300 US , and this will also get around 95 other free satellite tv services.
With a 9 ft dish here in Miami, reception is great, and the programming is all Dominican 24 hours a day with entertainment, special shows and news.
