Other than Robert's.
Have you ever seen a Dominican doing a job that you didn't know existed before?
Last November we flew into Santo Domingo, got through customs, and rented a car. We finished our paperwork and one of the rental company's employees was taking us out to the car lot. As we approached the exit, a uniformed employee of the airport seated next to the door, slowly extended his leg and activated the electric door for us. No slowing down. After we got our car, we realized we needed a local map. I went back in. Up went the leg and the doors parted. Got my map. Out I came. Leg goes up. Doors open. God I love this country!
