Thanks for your quick responses Lora & Alexandra. I believe, however, that the Gummibears and other Fruitgum-Products they sell in Santo Domingo are not in the least of the same quality in purity, flavour and ingredients. KATJES still isn't distributed in Sto. Domingo (which is a shame!) and I stay at the North Coast most of the time, anyway. Furthermore, I believe that the company founders were from Holland (hence the name which means "Small Cat" or "Kitten", doesn't it !??) but the present producer is German. I'd be glad though, if any information concerning original producer or - even more important - the local distributors in the DR could be forwarded to me. All fruitgum & liquorice fans unite ! (ha,ha,ha). Finally and again : I am seriously interested in seeing this product spreading over the island making 8 Mio. Dominicans (and all permanent residents like me!) addicted. I therefore need a word with the person(s) who sell(s) them here. Thanks in advance and a happy munch if got some.
