Don't count Japan or Korea out...They have just as good players as DR or Cuba.Dolores said:Did a search on the Internet but could find anything on the mlb.com site about it.
The Japanese reported it at http://www.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/getarticle.pl5?sb20041106a2.htm
Also found it mentioned in this US site at http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/world-cup-2006-a-look-ahead/
Indeed does sound exciting, and DR has a chance at winning. Imagine a team with Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Adrian Beltre, Alfonso Soriano, Vladimir Guerrero, Moises Alou....
If anyone can dig up what happened with the December meetings, please let us know.
