Bank in Santo Domingo w/o ATM fee

Hi all,

I will be on my way to Santo Domingo in a little less than 2 weeks and everytime I am there and take out anything from the ATM I always get charged a 1.50 fee. I go through Bank One, here in the U.S. and I was wondering if there is a bank atm that I could go to which won't charge me a fee?

Just curious if there is anyway to get around it, or if anyone knows a cheaper rate that I could pay for the withdrawl.

Check with your bank first. One of the percs I got for buying a CD at my bank was that I am never charged a fee for using other banks ATMs. Including Europe and the DR. The private ATMs you find in stores are another matter.
