Tubing in Cabarete

Does anyone know anything about tubing in Cabarete? I read an article about tubing trips up near the mountains leaving from Cabarete? Are these worth while?

The excursions

referred to are on the Rio Yaque Norte near Jarabacoa. This is over 2 hours away from Cabarete, but day trips are available, including transportation and meals. It's a great change of pace from the beach. My next trip will be in July, and having heard how hot it can be that time of year, I think I'll plan on at least a couple of days in the mountains.

Stay overnight, get up at 8, raft and later on horseback ride. I have done rafting twice in 2 years.
