transporting desktop computer....

Any problems bringing a desktop on a flight and through customs at SDQ? I remember reading somewhere that monitors are not allowed but that the base unit of a desktop can be brought if packaged correctly. Can anyone confirm?

Keep in mind until some time in September if it is in a box AA if you fly on them won't accept it as luggage at all. No box and extra luggae summer embargo.

You should have no trouble.I will ask my friend who is an airport manager at LaGuardia.You can always put the computer "Box" in a duffel bag of some kind.The "Monitor" should be no problem ,it is the "Merrimac" that is not allowed! :eek: ;)
