I am writing a paper for a college class called Cultural Factors of International Business. My paper will focus on the cultural differences between the United States and the Dominican Republic in business. I am having a hard time finding information for the paper, other than personal experience I have with Dominicans. I have found some cultural guides for future expats, but they cost $25 or so. Can anyone guide me to some good free sources?
Also, has anyone had an experience while doing business with a Dominican in which they could see cultural differences? An example from another culture would be how a Japanese person would be offended if you did not give them a business card, or did not do so with both hands touching the card. Another would be how business people in the Middle East must become friends with their associates before doing business with them.
