Is the time in the DR the same as in New York?? Just curious. Thanks for your assistance.

yesterday yes to day no you had daylight savings change , we did not

With reference to time and EASTERN STANDARD TIME. DREP is on Atlantic Standard Time.You don't have to be Kojak to figure out the rest. Bill

Most Dominicans relate well to New York City or Miami Time. From The last week in October until about April 21st (When the Eastern US switched to day light savings time), the DR and NYC and Miami are exactly the same time. The rest of the year, the DR is one hour ahead.

You are right, I misstated what I was trying to say. During the summer we (Eastern US) are on "Dominican Time, in the Winter, the DR is one hour ahead
