I have just booked a holiday to the Dominican Republic in March and wanted to confirm the entry requirements, but I am struggling to confirm the requirements as I have seen conflicting text on the Dominican Republic Embassy website.
On the website in the table in the 'Tourist card' section it includes New Zealand in the list right at the bottom, but in the visa page of the website it does not include New Zealand in the list for those who only need a tourist card.
I have tried all the phone numbers they give (including the 0900 number) but haven't been able to speak to a person to confirm (and as I don't live in London I can't visit the embassy in person).
Can anyone confirm if I need a visa or not?
As another complication, I have noted that foreign nationals who are permant residents of [...] UK need only a tourist card. I live in the UK and am currently on a UK ancenstry visa (as I have British grandparents) which turns into a permanent right to reside after 4 years. Does this make a difference?
thanks
