I spent some time in the DR back in February and met some local people. I had someone lined up that expressed a interest in coming to Canada this summer to work in our market garden operation. In the last few weeks I have researched all the requirements at this end to bring in offshore help and it is not as difficult as I had been led to believe that it would be.
Anyway now it seems that the original candidate will not be able to come here for the summer.
Is there another avenue that I can take to recruit another worker from the DR? Is there any DR government offices that might catalogue potential employees able to travel for the summer?.
Any help would be appreciated especially if someone has had a similar experience.
