It has been brought to my attention that yesterday, April 6th was the last day of work for 5 members of the animation team at the Bahia Principe, Punta Cana as new management took over and brought in their own animation team.
Does anyone know if this is in fact true or not? Is this common practice in the DR when new management takes over?

Any thoughts?

Any practice is common here. But no harm done anyway.
The women clients will follow their favourite sankies wherever they go and try to export them.
The new team will be welcomed by the bored old customers.
Live goes on.
Business, too.

.... that nasty word ....

The word "sankie" is not such a bad word after all.
It's used more in tourist places but understood almost everywhere.
Some so called are even proud to be addressed like this as it acknowledges somebody to be a successful "chulo" sponging on a "gringa tonta".
The Dominican society accepts that and partly lives with (on) it...

"I was told by a wise old Dominican that the term "Sanky Panky" is derived from an English expression and a Spanish one. It is a contracion of: Hanky Panky (fool round) and Saca Panty (or takes off the panties). This is because these young men are so talented at getting a girl's panties off for the purpose of fooling around and making money."
(29-8-2000, DR1)

Or could it not have been derived from
"Sank you madam..."?

The electronics below the sankey name is a sankie's wish list. Did you see the sidipley there? It's the most popular item and makes a great gift throughout the year.
